You can permanently delete your Homeward account and all associated data at any time. This page explains both ways to do it and exactly what is removed.

Fastest way — delete it yourself, instantly, from the app:
Open Homeward → Settings & about → Delete my account & data → confirm. Your data is removed immediately and you are signed out. No request needed.

Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, you can still ask us to delete your account:

1. Email apps.rhythmthemes@gmail.com from any address, with the subject line "Delete my Homeward account".
2. Include the phone number you used to sign in (this is how we locate your account — we verify ownership before deleting).
3. We will confirm and complete the deletion within [30 days], and email you when it is done.

Deleted permanently	Notes
Your profile (name, phone number, photo)	Removed from our database
Your family membership	You are removed from your family circle
Your location data	Any last-known trip/share location
Your private journey history	Your personal trip log and its contents
Your sign-in record	Your Firebase Authentication account

If you are the admin of a family circle, deleting your account also removes the entire family circle — all members, trips and shared data within it.

What we keep, and for how long

• Homeward does not retain a copy of your personal data after deletion, other than what the law requires.
• Routine encrypted backups held by our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase) may retain residual copies for a short period before rotating out, typically within [30–90 days]. These backups are not accessible for normal use.
• We may retain minimal records where required to comply with legal obligations.
