## 2. The short version
- We collect as little as possible. **No account is required.**
- We do **not** sell your data and we do **not** show ads.
- The **text** of your questions is sent to our AI provider to generate answers.
- **Camera images are processed on your device** and are **not** uploaded.
- Your history and saved items stay **on your device**.
## 3. Information we process
**a) Content you submit ("App activity").**
When you scan, type a question, chat, translate, or generate study material, the
**text** of that request is sent over an encrypted connection to our backend and
to our AI provider to produce a response (see Section 5).
**b) Camera & microphone (on-device).**
The Camera permission is used only to scan problems. Images are converted to text
**on your device** using on-device text recognition; only the recognized **text**
is sent for an answer — the image itself is never uploaded or stored by us. If you
use voice features, audio is handled on-device by Android.
**c) Purchases.**
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by **Google Play Billing**. We
receive only a purchase token and subscription status to unlock premium features.
**We never receive your card or payment details.**
**d) On-device data (stays on your phone).**
Your query **history**, **saved bookmarks**, and **preferences** (theme,
read-aloud language) are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to
us.
**e) Technical data.**
Standard network information (such as IP address) is processed transiently by our
hosting provider to deliver responses and to apply security/rate-limiting. We do
not use it to build advertising profiles.
We do **not** collect your name, email, contacts, or precise location.
## 4. How we use information
- To provide the App's features (scan & solve, Q&A, chat, translation, essays,
flashcards, trivia, read-aloud).
- To process subscriptions and unlock premium features.
- To keep the service secure, reliable, and to prevent abuse.
## 5. AI processing and third parties
To generate responses, the **text** of your request is sent over HTTPS/TLS to our
backend, which forwards it to our AI provider, **Anthropic (Claude AI)**, for
processing. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

## 6. Data retention
- **On-device data** (history, bookmarks, preferences) remains until you clear it
in the App (Settings → **Delete Your Data**) or uninstall the App.
- **Request text** is processed to generate a response and is not used to build a
profile of you. Transient operational logs, if any, are kept only as needed for
security and reliability, then deleted.
## 7. Your choices & rights
- **Delete your data:** Settings → **Delete Your Data** removes local history and
saved items. Uninstalling removes all local data.
- **Manage subscriptions:** Google Play → **Subscriptions**.
- Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to
access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Contact us at

## 8. Children's privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under
the age of independent consent in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided
personal information and we will delete it.
## 9. Security
Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Payments are handled entirely by Google
Play. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable
measures to protect your information.
## 10. International processing
Your request text may be processed on servers outside your country (including by
our AI and hosting providers), with appropriate safeguards.
## 11. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Effective date"
above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
