## 2. Eligibility
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and to hold
a Google account. Minors may use the App only with the consent and supervision of
a parent or legal guardian.
## 3. The service
BrainSnap AI is an AI-powered study companion offering scan & solve, a math
solver, smart Q&A, an AI tutor chat (with read-aloud), translation, an essay/
content writer, flashcard generation, and trivia. Features and limits may change
over time.
## 4. AI-generated content & accuracy
- Responses are **generated by artificial intelligence** and may be **incomplete,
inaccurate, or out of date**. The App shows a notice to this effect.
- **Always verify important information** — especially for academic, financial,
medical, legal, or safety-critical decisions. You are responsible for how you
use any output.
- Output is provided for personal study and informational purposes only and is
not professional advice.
## 5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful, harmful, infringing, or fraudulent purposes.
- Violate the rules of any school, exam, or institution, or use the App to cheat
where prohibited.
- Submit content that is illegal, abusive, or that violates others' rights.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or attempt to bypass usage limits,
security, authentication, or billing of the App or its backend.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
## 6. Free tier and usage limits
The App offers a free tier with limited daily usage (currently a small number of
AI actions per day). We may change the limits, features, or availability of the
free tier at any time.
## 7. Subscriptions, trials & payments
- **Premium ("PRO")** is offered as an auto-renewable subscription and/or a
one-time Lifetime purchase, sold through **Google Play Billing**.
- Indicative pricing (shown in-app at purchase; varies by region):
- **Weekly:** a 3-day free trial, then , auto-renewing.
- **Lifetime:** a one-time payment (no auto-renewal).
- **Free trial:** if you start a trial and do not cancel before it ends, it
converts to a paid subscription and you will be charged.
- **Auto-renewal:** subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and
price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- **Manage / cancel:** any time via **Google Play → Subscriptions**. Cancelling
stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- **Refunds:** handled by Google Play under Google's policies. We do not separately
process payments or store card details.
## 8. Intellectual property
The App, its design, branding ("BrainSnap"), and software are owned by us and
protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive,
non-transferable, revocable license to use the App. Subject to applicable law and
the rights of the underlying AI provider, output you generate is yours to use for
lawful personal purposes; you are responsible for ensuring such use does not
infringe third-party rights.
## 9. Your content
You retain ownership of the text you submit. You grant us a limited license to
process your inputs as needed to operate the service (including sending them to our
AI provider to generate a response), as described in our Privacy Policy.
## 10. Disclaimers
The App is provided **"as is" and "as available"** without warranties of any kind,
express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose,
accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be
uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be correct.
## 11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect,
incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data,
profits, or academic/professional outcomes arising from your use of the App. Our
total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid
for the App in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50.
## 12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at any time for breach of these Terms or to
comply with law. You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time.
## 13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of **[your jurisdiction]**, without regard to
conflict-of-laws rules, subject to any mandatory local consumer protections.
## 14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective date"
and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes means
you accept the updated Terms.
