information when you use the CalorieIQ mobile application.

### A. Personal Profile Information

To provide personalized calorie and macro targets, the app asks for your:

- Age

- Gender

- Height

- Weight

- Activity Level

This information is stored **locally on your device** and is used solely for the

Mifflin-St Jeor equation calculation.

### B. Usage Data

When you log food, we collect:

- Text descriptions of meals

- Photos of food (if uploaded via the camera or gallery)

- Weight entries

- Water intake logs

## 2. How Your Information is Used

### A. Local Processing

Most of your data (profile, history, weights) stays on your device in an encrypted database.

### B. AI Analysis

When you use the AI chat or photo scan feature, the text or image is sent to

**Anthropic PBC (Claude API)** to generate nutritional estimates

(calories, protein, carbs, fat). Anthropic's privacy policy applies to the data they process.

We do not send your personal profile details (name, age, weight) to the AI service.

### C. Subscriptions

Payments and subscriptions are processed by **Google Play Billing**.

We do not collect or store your credit card or financial information.

## 3. Data Storage and Security

CalorieIQ uses **SQLCipher** for full-disk encryption of its on-device database.

Your data is protected by industry-standard encryption while at rest on your smartphone.

## 4. Your Rights and Control

- **Access and Edit**: You can view and modify any log or profile detail within the app.

- **Data Deletion**: You can permanently delete all your data and account history

at any time via the **Settings -> Danger Zone -> Delete All Data** option. T

his action is irreversible and wipes the local database.

## 5. Third-Party Services

- **Anthropic PBC**: For AI-powered nutritional analysis.

- **Google Play Services**: For app updates and subscription management.

## 6. Children's Privacy

CalorieIQ is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time.

We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app.
